How types work
Open source: Its pricing model is Open source (the source code is public, even when a hosted version is paid).
An app can have several types. Web, mobile and desktop come from the platforms on its listing and open source from its pricing model; SaaS, browser extension, API and command-line types are set by the maker, or suggested by AppFinder from the listing and its website until the maker sets them. Payment never adds or removes a type.
