Terms of use

The rules for using AppFinder, listing an app and buying promotions, in plain language.

Placeholder legal text

This is a draft pending legal review. It describes how AppFinder works today, but it isn’t final and may change before it takes effect. Questions: legal@appfinder.tech.

Using AppFinder

You can browse, search, compare and ask for recommendations without an account. Information on listings comes from companies, from public sources and from us. Check important details, such as pricing, with the vendor before you buy.

Accounts and companies

  • You need a verified email address to claim a listing or make a payment.
  • Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You’re responsible for what happens in your account.
  • A company account can have several members with different roles. Members with the right role can edit listings and buy promotions for the company.

Listings and verification

  • New listings and some edits are reviewed before they appear.
  • To manage a listing, a company must prove it controls the app’s domain. Verification is free.
  • Listings must be accurate. We don’t accept claims such as “#1”, “best in the world”, “guaranteed” or invented awards and partnerships, and we may edit or hold content that uses them.
  • We may correct, hide or remove a listing that breaks these rules, and revoke a verification that was obtained improperly.

Suspension

We may suspend an account or company that breaks these terms, for example by faking clicks or advisor requests, impersonating another company or misleading visitors. Promotions of a suspended company stop showing.

Our responsibility

We work to keep listings accurate and the service available, but AppFinder is provided as it is. We aren’t responsible for the products listed or for decisions made from the information here.

Changes

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll update this page and tell account holders by email before the change takes effect.
