Every paid placement is labelled. Organic rankings are never for sale.

Promote your app. Every placement says it’s paid.

Pick a fixed-price slot, or bid for a position on a category’s sponsored leaderboard. Before you pay, you see the price, where it shows and the label visitors get. Organic rankings, reviews and AI recommendations aren’t for sale.

What visitors see

The same labels appear on every paid item, at every size.

Leaderboard bids and category slots: category trays, search, comparisons, the AI sponsored slot and the sponsored leaderboards.
Fixed-price slots on the homepage.
Launch boosts, in their own tray on the Launches page.
Verified owner
Free, and never sold. It means the company proved it controls the app’s domain.

Know what your buyers ask for

Every day, buyers tell the AppFinder advisor what they need: the features, integrations, budget, team size and security rules that decide their shortlist. Buyer insights turn those requests into numbers you can act on. They’re anonymous totals: never a buyer’s words or identity.

  • How often the advisor recommends you, how often you’re in the top 3, how many buyers shortlist and pick you, and your share of your category. Free with a verified listing.
  • What buyers ask for that your listing doesn’t show (single sign-on, self-hosting, an integration, a price point) with the number of buyers behind each and where to fix it. The top 3 are free; every one with Pro.
  • Who buyers picked instead of you, and why, and who is switching to and away from you. Pro.
  • A weekly email with the headline and the most-asked gap.

Insights never change rankings. The only way to rank better is a complete, accurate listing, and updating it is free on every plan.

Profile plans

Claiming and verifying your listing is free, and shows you how often the AI advisor recommends you. Pro adds full buyer insights, profile features and full analytics. Prices are in US dollars; tax is calculated at checkout.

Where your placement appears

Your placement sits in its own perforated tray beside the results buyers are already reading, with a tag that names it. Buyers see clearly what is promoted, so the clicks you get come from people who chose to look.

Placements never change the organic ranking, which uses ratings, helpful-vote feedback, listing completeness and freshness. That keeps the directory worth visiting, and your placement worth buying.

From claim to live placement

Everything happens in your company dashboard. Nothing goes live until the payment confirms.

Claim

  1. 1

    Claim listing

Find your app and claim it from your dashboard. Listing an app is free.

  2. 2

    Verify ownership

Add a DNS TXT record, a file or a meta tag on your domain. Verification is free and doesn't change rankings.

Set up

  1. 3

    Choose product

A leaderboard bid, a fixed-price slot, a launch boost or priority review.

  2. 4

    Choose category

Bids and category slots belong to one category. Homepage slots don't.

Bid

  1. 5

    Current ranking

See the live board and what each position would cost you.

  2. 6

    Bid & budget

Enter the total you want your bid to be. You pay only the difference.

  3. 7

    Expected position

See where you'd land if your payment confirmed now, and the exact label visitors will see.

Pay

  1. 8

    Payment

Pay on Dodo Payments' secure checkout, or from your promotional balance. Tax is calculated at checkout.

  2. 9

    Confirmation

Your position is set when the payment confirms, not when you click pay. The receipt shows the final position.

After payment

  1. 10

    Active

The placement goes live with its label. Clicks and impressions appear in your dashboard; clicks stay provisional for 24 hours while invalid traffic is filtered.

Fixed-price slots and launch boosts skip the bid steps: you choose dates and preview the placement instead. Priority review skips straight from choosing the product to payment.

What money can’t buy here

  • A position in categories, search results or best-of lists.
  • Reviews or ratings.
  • The Verified owner mark. It's free and only shows that a company proved it controls the app's domain.
  • A place in AI recommendations. The AI never sees sponsorship data.
  • Approval of a listing or an edit. Priority review buys a faster review, not a decision.
